Most Unfortunately, aside from hair transplantation surgery, there isn’t any other permanent hair loss cure

Many offer their pills and potions guaranteeing an effective Hair loss treatment.

Upon initially taking medication many patients have told us of their hope for hair restoration but………..there is NO Cure for baldness. The ONLY effective Hair loss treatment is Hair replacement.

Is Hair Replacement in Thailand Safe?

Hair transplantation surgery in Thailand is one of the least intrusive Thailand surgeries. Hair transplantation does not require hospitalisation and is usually a partial day procedure. If you are really rushed for time we have seen patients leave Thailand at the end of day 3 of their stay however we suggest that you stay at least 5 days so that stiches can be removed before travelling home.

‘TECHNICAL STUFF'

Baldness is the loss of hair growth. The type of hair baldness varies but its most common cause is androgenic alopecia, alopecia seborrheica, alopecia androgenetica.

Baldness or Hair loss is technically known as alopecia and this is a loss of hair from the head or body. Androgenic alopecia or male pattern baldness(MPB) is responsible for the vast majority of hair loss in men.

Typically and in about 95% of cases baldness is caused by alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder. Male pattern hair loss is known as androgenic alopecia and is characterized by hair receding from the sides of your forehead and also a thinning crown. Both hair loss types become more and more evident and eventually you are left with a only hair around the back of the head. Alopecia is sometimes called spot baldness.

What happens during your Thailand Hair Surgery?

Thailand Hair transplant procedures usually take over half a day and are performed using local or “twilight” anesthesia, on an out-patient basis. Naturally the number of grafts required depends on the degree of hair loss and desired density. During the surgery there is typically little or no pain. In fact, most patients remain awake and can talk, listen to music or could even watch movies and television.

Hair transplantation involves the removal of the skin and hair follicle. The donation hair can typically be removed from the side and most commonly from the back of your head.

After the hair is obtained the surgeon, using particularly strong magnification, will dissect the harvested tissue ready for implanting. Then a tedious process occurs with the planting of the grafts into your balding area whilst being very, very careful not to damadge any hair follicles already in the treatment area. The surgeon will place grafts on the same angle as your exisitng hair and continue to plant grafts to the level of required density.

How Will I Look after my Hair Surgery Thailand ?

Most people are worried how they will look after the surgery. Often, a light bandage/dressing will be placed on the scalp in order to keep the grafts snug and secure overnight. In most cases, it is removed the next day. After surgery you have to put on the headband (look like tennis band) for a few days to protect the swelling on your forehead. Most patients resume normal activities, such as work, in a couple of days. The hair can be cleaned gently with a special shampoo, and after your first shower, no further bandages are required.

How Long Before I see My new Hair?

The transplanted hair seen above the scalp will be initially shed; however, the roots will remain dormant for approximately 6-12 weeks, after which the new hairs will begin to grow. After a period of four to six months, transplanted hair blends perfectly with the surrounding scalp
