A Root Canal in Thailand is a dental procedure to prevent, diagnose, and treat diseases or injuries to the centre of your tooth. With the help of a Thailand root canal treatment your dentist will attempt to save your tooth by removing the bacteria from the root canal system.
The most common cause of nerve death is extensive decay, deep fillings, trauma (such as falling over or a hard bang to your tooth), a cracks in your tooth or diseased gum.
We arrange many, many Root Canal Surgerys in both Phuket and Bangkok and can assist you in these locations.
A Thailand root canal procedure requires one or more appointments.
An access opening is made on top of the tooth and a series of root canal files are placed into the opening, one at a time, removing the pulp, nerve tissue, and bacteria. If tooth decay is present, it will also be removed with special dental instruments.
Once the tooth is thoroughly cleaned, it will be sealed with a permanent filling.
Approximately a week later the roots and the inside cavity of the tooth will be filled and sealed with special dental materials (Endocal).
A filling will be placed to cover the opening on top of the tooth. In addition, all teeth that have root canal treatment should have a crown (cap) placed. This will protect the tooth and prevent it from breaking, and restore it to its full function.
Root canal surgery is safe and it is the correct approach to saving teeth that wihtout treatment will be lost.
Properly done root canal treatments are about 95% successful – (at home or in Thailand). Failures do sometimes occur. Those people willing to have re-treatment usually experience a 85% success.
The simple answer is there is not alternative treatments if you want to save your teeth. Whilst some patients suggest extraction this is in fact not a fesible option as an extraction very frequently cause your teeth to shift and crowd. An Extraction will end up costing you more in the long run.
